"Work from the middle ages, Lance Letscher uses discarded books
as his raw materials. Salvaging tomes from a dumpster behind his local
used bookstore, the Austin-based Letscher favours academic relics from
college and high school days. The results are surprisingly colourful,
not unlike a collection of quilts. Patterns range from the geometric and
architectural array of stripes and cubes to fans and pinwheels that
produce a softer, yet dizzying effect." Mocoloco
